For the third year in a row, I will be running the Beach to Beacon 10K to raise money for Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation. Although I still don't consider myself a "runner" and probably never will be, I have made a committment to run 6.2 miles each August to support an organization that supports so many of my passions. Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation provides access to recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities at no cost to them. They have given over 2,500 children, adults and veterans the opportunity to ski, snowshoe, kayak, play golf, bicycle, play pickleball and rock climb! My mother has volunteered for Maine Adaptive for many years and I have witnessed first hand my OT students participate in skiing and biking. I love working with children who have special needs and I love skiing at Sunday River. What better organization to support! Please consider donating, any amount will help reach my goal!
