This will be my 8th time running the Beach to Beacon, but this year I am running to raise money for a program that is very meaningful to me and my family. I am running to raise funds for Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation, an organization that allows children, adults, and veterans with disabilities opportunities to experience sports and enjoy the great outdoors of Maine. Maine Adaptive offers programs such as skiing, snowboarding, cycling, pickleball, golf, kayaking, and rock climbing. My daughter has benefitted from the programming offered through Maine Adaptive. She loves skiing at Sunday River and has enjoyed pickleball and golf. The confidence she has gained through her years on the slopes of Sunday River has been amazing to see. Please help me raise money for an organization that gives joy, empowerment, and confidence to so many individuals each year.
