Welcome to my 2024 Maine Adaptive Sports Ski-a-thon fundraising page!
As many of you know, my Dad gifted the love of skiing to my brother and me from a young age. Or, maybe it wasn't a choice, and it was an inherited love. My Dad used to say "skiing is in my blood" as his parents met while skiing in Lake Louise, Canada. I am glad that skiing has become a big part of my life and am happy to report that the genetic love continues as Lillian is turning into an ethustiatic skier herself.
For over 15 years my Dad volunteered weekly with Maine Adaptive Sports, helping to give the gift of skiing to people with all different types of abilities. Maine Adaptive offers summer and winter adaptive sport experiences at no cost to the participant, and the Ski-A-Thon is their largest fundraiser of the year. Last year our team was a great success having raised over $6,700, winning the synchornized skiing contest, and keeping my Dad's costume-loving spirit alive with our silly gear. Please consider supporting me again this year. It is a special way to honor my Dad and his philanthropic legacy.
