Welcome!
Many of you know how we love Maine and our happy place at Sunday River. You may not however be as familiar with Maine Adaptive. Maine Adaptive is a fantastic organization that provides free ski and snowboard lessons in the winter at various mountains, Sunday River being one of them. They also offer a multitude of other sports in the summer. Our family has directly benefitted from their adaptive ski lessons, and I also volunteer with Maine Adaptive as a ski instructor.
As volunteers,we are trained to work with individuals who have varying adaptive needs, and I count myself fortunate to witness the participants I work with experience the joy of their chosen sport, and the freedom it brings them.
Main Adaptive's services are free for the participant and as such, fund raising is so very important to the organization. Every dollar raised contributes to the program and keeping this program free to adaptive individuals.
