Maine winters are long and hard. I enjoy and look forward to snowy cold days because I enjoy outdoor winter sports. It's the only way I know to be, but I love winter. That's probably why I enjoy volunteering for Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation. I have been volunteering most every winter weekend and a good portion of my vacation time for over 20 years. It is very rewarding to help others find their purpose and meaning to survive (mentally and physically) our harshest season. MASR is only possible because of all the volunteers and from donations from others. Speaking of donations, please consider donating to this worthy cause. Your donations allow MASR to offer their services free of charge to all participants. No other adaptive program is able to do this.
