Welcome to our 2024 Maine Adaptive Ski-a-Thon fundraising page!
This year, Becca and I are participating in the Ski-a-thon again in honor of my dad, Bob. My dad liked to say that he owed his existence to the sport of skiing because his parents met while skiing in the Canadian Rockies. Becca and I can attribute many of our best friendships, not to mention our own family (Becca and I met while ski bumming in Jackson), to skiing as well. Needless to say, skiing is much more than a sport to our family! I think that's why my dad dedicated 15 years of winter weekends to helping people with disabilities learn how to ski with Maine Adaptive.
Last year's Ski-a-Thon was nothing short of a roaring success for team Kinger's Crew. We won the synchro-skiing contest, dazzled the other ski-a-thon-ers with our costumes, and raised over $6,700 as a team! This year, we're hoping to build on that success!
Maine Adaptive helps people with disabilities learn how to ski free of charge, but they rely on volunteers and donations to keep their programs running. Please consider supporting me in my effort to raise money for Maine Adaptive and give the gift of skiing to even more people. Thank you!
