Thank you for your previous generous support of Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation. I am sending this note along in hopes that I can count on your continued support this year.

I am once again participating in the ski a thon and trying to raise money for a cause I truly believe in Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation (MASR). This years ski a thon is being held at Sunday River on March 24, 2024. This is the 36th Maine Adaptive Skiathon and this is the 36th year that team NDS has participated, donated and raised money for this cause. I am proud to be a part of this team. The funds donated by sponsors like yourself serve to keep the programming absolutely free to the participants.

This year Maine Adaptive's programming has been amazing. We have already hosted three significant events; Veterans No Boundaries, the New England Visually Impaired (NEVI) Festival as well as the Mono Skiing camp at both Sunday River and Saddleback. We will also be hosting Camp Snow Limits at Sunday River along with hundreds of free lessons to our participants as part of our regular programming. Our host mountains Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Saddleback and now Pleasant Mountain (formerly Shawnee Peak) have done a great job in providing quality snow conditions so far this season despite mother nature being less than cooperative. We also have provided free Nordic ski programs at Pineland Farms. Maine Adaptive continues to be recognized as a leader in disabled sports and adaptive programming. (www.maineadaptive.org) and we have participants from all of the New England states this year as well as other parts of the US. What makes Maine Adaptive unique is that the program is completely free. Maine Adaptive does not receive any government grants or program fees--only private donations. Our most important fundraising event is the annual Skiathon, which raises over 40% of Maine Adaptive's annual budget.
