I have been a Maine Adaptive ski/snowshoe participant/volunteer/clinician for nearly 37 years! I have served on the Board of Directors for 24 years. As Maine Adaptive has grown to offer summer programming, I have volunteered at cycling and kayaking events with Maine Adaptive. I have volunteered in every Veterans / No Boundaries winter and summer offering (20 years and running) and serve on the VNB Committee and Ski-a-Thon committees.
I am totally committed to this program which goes way beyond providing the opportunity for people with disabilities to engage in challenging physical activities.
The program builds confidence in working/playing with a wide array of folks from all walks of life and and with a diverse mix of abilities/disabilities.
